The device employs bacteria that emit blue-green fluorescence (450–490 nm) during normal metabolic activity. Exposure to toxic substances disrupts bacterial metabolism, suppressing fluorescence intensity in proportion to toxicity levels. This biological mechanism offers a reliable basis for environmental quality assessment. Serving as an efficient on-site complement to traditional physicochemical analysis, the analyzer enables rapid pollution detection in water bodies.
